so if ya haven't already heard 2moz see's the launch ( for 3 days only !!! ) of Kidrobot's MUNNYWORLD... the hype gets bigger by the day & some of the customs already sneaked look amazin' ! we were chuffed to bits to be asked in on the show - so without further adoo ere's our Mega Munny Custom or ' The Bog Monster ' as we like to call him ! born outta the sewers of Triclops Towers he's a harmless creature but we would suggest approachin' him with a peg on ya nose, ha ! big thx to all @ K'Bot, especially The Toy Baroness & Gabe ( for the helpin' hand with our runnin' repairs carried out last week while we were out in NYC ) and 2 fingers-up at the twats @ UPS who managed to 'kick' him across the pond ! OK, since our return to a rainy LDN i've been rather slug-like... i blame too much Jack & not enough sleep ! anywhooo followin' on from Luc's post, ere's a quick snap-shot ( click to enlarge ! ) of my recent US toy purchases : highlights include a bootleg Werewolf ( thx Dollar Tree ! ), Ron English's fat alien, Mayor McCheese, Captain Caveman + Secret Squirrel ( by Funko ) and mini Freddy Kruger... non-purchos highlights include : purple & blk Armodoc fig ( the best vinyl fig i've seen dis year without a shadow of a doubt ), Onell x L'amour Supreme Zombie Phyden, and ' Buffalo Bill ' from 90's Wild West Cow*Boys ! massivE thx to Matt Onell for all of these and many, many more goodies... too many to mention, you're a propa gent : we owe you BIG time !

popped down to The Joy of Toy ( Brick Lane ) on friday... nice ickle show dis : thumbs up to Simon aka Hand on Fire aka Sichi for puttin' it together in such a short period of time ( and the free beer ). gud to catch-up with a few faces too; Clutter Geoff & Matt JOnes. highlight for me was the rather glittery Usugrow x Secret Base ' Rebel Ink ' fig - donated by Geoff. never seen one in the flesh b4... tasty, ummmmmm eBay !

Toys r UsA

Apeman and I made a lot of 'research purchases' in the land of plenty. Here's a seemlessly Photoshopped taster of my share of the goodies (not including tees and sneakers!) click to enlarge... Highlights (L to R) include fantastic robot from Astroboy the Movie with great light up yellow eyes (a mere $10), cool little Batman Brave and Bold minifigs, stonking vinyl Armodoc from Matt Doughty at Onell Design and Ralph Wiggum vinyl from Kidrobot (sadly the mystery accessory I got was the paste pot rather than the uber cool Leprechaun). Plus we went to town snapping up Tech Decks with their blatantly ripped off characters, I bagged a cool Gatchaman clone and Robocop with his traditional banana accessory (huh?). Finally, I was introduced to the 'Wild West Cowboys of Moo Mesa' line by Mr Doughty, check those colours on the bull dude, mmmm clashy.

Back to Blighty

We shopped, we dropped, we plopped, we clopped. Whatever all of that means. We're back in the office and chock full of new ideas plus our shelves are even more loaded with toy goodies (if that's possible), more of that coming soon. Stay tuned for reports a-plenty of our adventures Stateside. Massive thanks to everyone we hooked and/or stayed with especially Steve & Hollis and Matt & Michelle. We speak fluent American now and "You guys are totally awesome" springs to mind.

Curated by Sichi, The Joy of Toy offers a retrospective of the vinyl art toy medium featuring the work of KAWS, Futura, Michael Lau, Eric So, Bounty Hunter, James Jarvis, Ashley Wood, The London Police and more. The Joy of Toy will feature significant pieces from the above artists as well as paintings, drawings and prints. A pop-up shop will offer special products and artist signings. This inaugural UK Vinyl Toy Expo opens on November 6th (6-9 PM) @ the EastGallery in London

OK, as of 2morrow the blog might run a tad 'stale-like' as Luc & i jet across the pond in a big tin bird... destination Boston, Rhode Island & NYC !!! there's loads shakin' throughout our whirlwind 7-day mini road trip : mainly consultancy stuff but, as we know all work & no play makes Triclops dull as sh#t ! so for a hit of jolly we'll be hookin' up with the 'Bro Boys Toys Club, Kidrobot, Maz Clutter, Matt Onell, L'amour Supreme & hopefully Mishka. we've got a lot to squeeze in, never mind see, soak-up & sample.
